My friend, on the selling of her family home, asked whether I would paint a stained glass window of the house that means a lot to her. I was glad to do this. This canvas taught me a lot. I am used to painting with very few colours - cadmium red, deep yellow ochre, cobalt blue and white. At times while painting this I couldn't mix the exact colour I needed. Eventually I tried using a different primary colour and found it worked perfectly!
