I made this work from a photo I took of my brother-in-law. Again experimenting with texture, I added soil to the background paint that had been heated in the oven beforehand. I had purchased a clinical anatomy book for humans, so was exploring what lies beneath the skin. This canvas therefore shows the muscles, tendons, bones and joints in the area beneath his t shirt.
The idea behind this piece of work was to imply that if you are a private person and don't show yourself outwardly, that what lies within may be able to be seen under your clothing nevertheless..
