Headway Christmas letter

A few days ago I got a letter from Headway UK and sat down to read it. It talked about a specific case of somebody else's brain injury.

What really struck me as I read, were the similarities between this man and myself. He has a son of a similar age, he had a "massive brain haemorrhage", he was in a coma for 3 weeks, he had the front of his skull removed to relieve pressure, it took him a long time to speak once he awoke and he now has epilepsy.

The letter talked rightly, about how much this family had used and needed Headway. It also asked for a donation over the Christmas holiday.

I sat there and made a decision in my head that I am going to do. I currently don't have any money that I can give. But if and when I get a job, I'm going to set up a monthly donation to this charity.

Headway helps people when they really really need it. They help me when I really need it too X
