Kettle boiling!

While I'm on the subject of altered behaviour I used to have early after my TBI injury.

When Paul and I returned from Melbourne in 2010, I always needed a hot water bottle when going to bed, to soothe my back pain. I still do.

Back then I would fill the kettle around 8ish so it was ready. But I would boil said kettle so the water was nice and hot and ready.

I would constantly go into the kitchen and boil the kettle over and over again throughout the night. So it was "ready" for when I go to bed.

8 o'clock, 9 o'clock, 10 o'clock, 11 o'clock...I probably boiled that kettle 7 or 8 times over the evening so it was "ready". I couldn't not do that, despite Paul talking logically to me that it wasn't necessary.

Now I always fill the kettle. I then boil it when I'm letting the dogs out last thing at night and the kettle boils. It's ready for when it's actually needed!
