Poh Ling Yeow

I just put this on my artist page but thought it's quite relevant to this one, with my obsessions and yearnings!
I get a real kick out of Egon Schiele, especially his logo. A little square box with his name and year.
Really simple, really eye catching.
A while ago I started sketching something similar. My name, gap to write the year of the work. I then got a rubber stamp made – signed sealed and delivered!
Off on a tangent here – before my TBI in 2008 I watched the first Masterchef Australia. I loved it. The final between Julie Goodwin and Poh Ling Yeow. I remember looking them up and found out that Poh was an artist. I didn’t look at her work back then though.
Fast forward to now. Where I’ve been watching Masterchef for years. From the UK, Australia, US – yep a bit of an obsession! Now Poh presents the programme and she’s brilliant. So I looked her up again…
…looking at her work it’s interesting for sure, but something else caught my eye. She has a logo on her website.
And guess what, it’s similar to when Egon Schiele signed off his work around the turn of the 20th century. Love it!
