Supermarket

For some reason I've had a random thought. It happens!

I remember when I'd first had my TBI and Paul and I would go and get our weekly shop on a Sunday afternoon and I'd struggle a bit.

We'd walk down to Safeway on Smith Street - anyone reading this who knows Melbourne will know where we are! - and we'd walk in. I always found the lighting really garish for my eyes. So much so, that I used to walk through the sunny streets and once I was inside the shop I got my shades out and out them on! It helped.

You know since I got back to Glasgow I've spoken to a friend who also has epilepsy. He says that he finds the aisles in a supermarket really hard. That the repetitive products can actually trigger a fit if he's not careful. That makes me think back to those days in Safeway - I wonder whether my body was telling me something about that danger too?!
