We were just sitting having lunch in a cafe. Jack was playing on PIXELART and doing one of his favourite things. He made a grid of 75 square by 75 squares. He then changes the colour of one of the squares to make it slightly different. Then his mummy and daddy has to spot it.
Jack - There you go mummy, where's the square?
I took my phone back and squinted for a long time looking all over the grid.
Daddy - It's because your eyes aren't as good on the right isn't it?
Me - Oh my goodness, yes your right. And that square is on the right isn't it. Do you think that's why?
Daddy - I reckon so.
So I got my eye test results out that I had years ago. It shows, as you can see, how both of my eyes are slightly weaker towards the right of my midline. This is from the bang I had to my head, it damaged my eyes in this way.
It's strange, I never think about that and I certainly don't notice it day to day. But I clearly don't spot things on the right as well as I used to...
