We're going on our summer holidays! It's to Pembrokeshire where my family always used to go when I was little.
We were wandering around M+S, with my husband and son rooting through the men's section.
I found it. An item of clothing that works for me - a rare thing. It's as you can see, a navy blue, size XL, soft and cosy hoodie. I haven't taken it off since - it's me.
It made me look at what I've been wearing for literally years. When they're dirty I take them off, wash and dry them and then put them back on.
My joggers have faded with age
My fleecy top has split under both arms
My t shirt has worn out from friction
What must the people at the school gates think of me? They're probably thinking : there she is in the same clothes as always...
I've done this ever since my brain injury in 2008. Straight afterwards I wore the same trackie bottoms every day until they fell off me and my husband insisted I buy some new ones.
I wonder why. I know we TBI survivors live our lives afterwards with planning and routine. Is that what it is? We stick to the same routine in terms of daily attire? So we wear the same thing forever?!
