Kim Noble

I’ve just stumbled across something that I’ve become a little fixated on, but that’s for a few reasons.
A lady called Kim Noble was diagnosed with dissociative identity disorder (DID), which means she has many different personalities existing in her body. This developed because Kim suffered abuse as a child, and her brain dealt by making different personalities.
When Kim was diagnosed with DID she was sent to an art therapist which I had myself after my TBI. The therapist suggested that she might benefit by painting. Now this is what I find fascinating. Depending on which personality she was, that changed her painting style as you can see here. And Kim has learned about her personalities from looking at what they paint…
…Missy apparently does not speak at all, and paints in only red, black and white
Non, whose name she will not say, drips paint and makes it like a human figure.
Ria has clear memories of her abuse and paints it.
Susie always paints a mother and a child.
Judy Ash paints a face within a person.
Key shows Hebrew writing.
As Kim says in this film, an artist likes to have a certain look which makes them easy to identify. But of course, Kim Noble does not. If you’re interested, click here to watch the film!
You know, I would love to go and see one of her shows where all her personalities can be seen!
