Handbag

A few weeks ago, we were driving from Banff to Northumberland via home to do a quick load of washing! We stopped in Forfar for a tasty chip buttie at Saddler’s of Forfar, then drove back to Glasgow.
It was after 6pm that a realised something and my whole tummy dropped. I’d left my handbag in that café. I immediately phoned them – closed. Phoned Forfar Police – closed. It was the weekend and Police Scotland told me there was nothing I could do til Monday when everything opened up. Dear god.
On Monday I phoned the café and the owner asked where I was. She then told me her daughter plays for Greenock football team and could meet me in town to hand it over.
That meant I was without money for our stay in Northumberland. It meant my bank balance didn’t change – silver linings, eh?!
Anyway, I wanted to say thank you to the café owners for all the help they gave me. So, I’ve made them a picture of the café that they can hang on their wall if they’d like to – thanks for all their help and the tasty chip butties they provided us with!
