Hands together, eyes closed

We're staying just now with my Mum and Dad for our boy to have belated Easter!

I went to say good night to Mum the other night and thought I'd woken her up - she was sitting in her armchair with her eyes closed. But no, she was praying.

My Mum has a firm belief in God and has strong faith. She told me that she has prayed every single night since my TBI to thank God for helping me to recover. That it was a miracle.

Now I do not share her faith, I believe in biology for my recovery exceeding the prognosis. But I do in some ways wish that I had the faith that my Mum lives by. We all stayed up late talking about this. I said to them how, if there was firm evidence for God's existence, I would believe in a flash. But my agnostic belief prevails.
