OU conference

Since my OU work has finished for the summer, I’ve been spending my days randomly passing time and feeling a bit unsure about things. I have no deadlines for assignments, no jobs I need to do and then tick off my list!

But today has been different. There was an OU conference where students in their final year were presenting work they’d thought up and carried out during the year. So basically, they had to think up an experiment to do and then carry it out.

So, today there was a schedule for all of these people to talk about their work and it was properly interesting. But I realised something else. Because there was a schedule and I knew what was coming up next, and then after lunch, and it made me feel better. It’s almost as though I feel more comfortable in myself when I’m organised into slots of time. So, I know what’s coming!

When I think about it though, I don’t think this is to do with my brain injury, but maybe we all feel better when a plan for the day has been made!?
