Self reflection

In the past week, I’ve been learning about the changes that take place as you grow from a child into an adult. How you gradually learn things and begin to become independent in your own life.

A few times though, some of the words in my course made me stop and think of myself.

Yes, over time I gradually learned new things as I grew up, especially when I left home and started university. I learned to live for myself, make my own food, do the washing, go to classes……then when I was 33…

…BANG.

I became a child again. I had to learn to walk, to talk, to hold a pen, to read, to write, to get dressed. So that slow learning process I’d slowly gone through to become an adult, happened again, very quickly. Bloody quickly.
